When painting intuitively, I never know what I will create. It is one of the things I love the most about my painting!
This abstract began much like my usual abstracts yet, in creating it, I basically lost the original abstract. Not wanting to waste it, I decided to work it differently from my usual style. What emerged in the end reminded me of looking down upon the Earth from far above.
As this painting dried, it cracked, further enhancing the appearance of the Earth from above. It appeared as if the cracks were creating shadows formed along the terrain. I really liked the unusual look of this abstract from my normal paintings and decided to keep it.
This abstract ships framed with deep, richly painted black sides and a bright white front (not shown in images). The abstract is signed, titled and dated on the back and ships with a Certificate of Authenticity. By signing the painting on the back this allows the painting’s orientation to be rotated in any one of four directions as desired. This textured alla prima, acrylic abstract is painted on stretched canvas, with palette knives, and a gloss varnish was added upon completion, conveying a state of wetness. Canvas measures 11″ x 14″ in size.
Screen image is representative of the original painting; color may differ slightly from screen to original artwork.
