Never knowing what to expect from my palette knife when I start to create a painting, I love when an obvious image appears from beneath my knife! And, I have to wonder, did I paint this because I subconsciously envisioned it? When I lifted my knife, I saw the unicorn instantly. I sat in amazement over it, for I knew I consciously had no thoughts of a white unicorn prancing around in my brain. Yet, there he stood, gazing at me from the edge of the canvas. All I could think at that moment…”Oh wow! This is so cool! I need to show this to someone to verify I am not nuts. Why must everyone be sound asleep at this time of the night?” (I often paint into the very wee hours of the morning when my brain refuses to slow down and find sleep).
