After creating this 4″ x 6″ alla prima painting, it beckoned me to look deeper. Why? I did not know but I listened, gazing for quite a while. Something looked out at me; however, I could not see it, only feel the chaos. I continued to stare, changing the orientation in every direction. Then finally it revealed itself. Peeking out between the yellow and green hues. An abstract face! But of whom?
A young child? An adult? Perhaps maybe, even a clown? No, definitely not a clown even though the red paint could appear as a clown nose. Look near the far right of the painting, between the yellow and green hues. Using your imagination, an abstract face appears, blue hair falling over the forehead of a yellow face with a solid dark blue eye. Totally random.
Why does this face appear? What secret does it harbor? What story must it be yearning to tell? No clue, yet, it exists. What answer lies within? I leave that up to the collector to discover.
