At the time, this was the largest gallery wrapped canvas I had ever purchased to paint an abstract upon. It intimidated me to the point that I could not paint on it but carried it unwrapped for years. Then inspiration hit!
Rich with a deep blue background, I utilized the 3 primary colors to intuitively create this painting. Aqua was chosen as a highlight. The wandering nature of my palette knives moving the paint around on the canvas felt indicative to the true journey of this canvas.
The abstract is signed, titled and dated on the back and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. By signing the painting on the back this allows the painting’s orientation to be rotated in any one of four directions as desired. Painted on a gallery wrapped canvas with palette knives. A gloss varnish was added upon completion, conveying a state of wetness. It measures 18″ x 24″ in size.
